Previous posts indicate same rear brk. drum used for 2. 5" and 3" shoes. If so why is it necessary to turn drums as other posts indicate when going to 3". Many thanks Bob
From what I understand the 2. 5 drum just wasn't machined as deep as the 3. 0, So when the bigger shoes are installed they would run on as cast metal and that would result in erradict operation.
Thanks Fastmark After I posted that I thought a little more about it and came to the same conclusion . After 126k miles on my 93 there has to be a ridge or high place on the drum, and it will need to be turned. Bob
