Rear Bumbers

Well, I got rear-ended today. Bumper and hitch are toast. Some scratches on the quarter panels. That's it. His Astro Van is a write off. I'm in Vancouver, Canada so shipping a hunk of steel from Florida may not be a great idea. Anybody have any recommendations for an aftermarket bumper/hitch?

Any good welding shop should be able to make you up a real nice one out of either steel or aluminum. Aluminum can be plenty strong if you get it thick enough, 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick plate welded over a couple of C channels would be good.

I have had 2 of their bumpers on my last 2 trucks. They have a towing capacity of over 20,000 pounds. The last one I had the reciever mount was welded into the bumper for extra strength and I had 2 PIAA rear lights installed in the bumper. Great for backing up(you can actually see) #ad

The shipping from CA to CT was about $130 on ABF trucking. It might be cheaper for you being closer. They due all their shipping via ABF so they have worked out a good discount with the carrier

Brown's Welding in New Braunfels TX makes the stoutest rear bumper I ever saw. It has a class IV rating and is sure to cure folks tailgating you. #ad

I have one on my truck and I'm always getting comments about how tough it looks. Comes powder coated black.
