Recently saw a 19 that had a fold out factory step on the drivers side of the rear bumper. Does anyone have the part number for it? Thinking I might like it if I can afford it.

R.Taylor do you still have yours laying around you want to part with?

Sure... I could box it up and give you a shipping quote, What's your ZIP code.

I bought one for my 2008 Mega Cab from AMP Research and a side step from them also. The side step is right behind the cab and allows me access to the front of the truck's bed.

I would check them out to see if they are lower in cost, than Ram.

I have the Amp and prefer it to the Ram step. It was also cheaper.

comrade - you just sold me. ordered one from real truck dot com just now. was at a jobsite today, forgot my 2 foot ladder to get into the bed. must have climbed in and out of bed 10 times. hated it. btw im 51 and fragile lower back. 2018 2500 tradesman. thanks for your post. cheers! :)

I bought the mopar version (made by amp for mopar) as it came with the modified bumper support bracket. The amp doesn't supply any bracket. Leaves the bumper unsupported. The mopar one just had Ram on the end caps and the bracket. Only difference. I did pay a small amount more for the mopar, but the support bracket is worth it.

Based on the prices in this thread for the mopar it was $100 more than I paid for my Amp. The amp doesn’t have the bracket, but from what I’ve seen it moves smoother and I also think looks better.

I definitely didn't pay that much more. Gotta shop around, man. Amp makes them for Chrysler. Bought mine on ebay, not something you want to go buy at the dealer unless you like spending.

That was what I was wondering also, So AMP makes both steps for the bed (bumper and side?) I do like getting accessories that "FIT" correctly, and saw one on a truck yesterday. I too do not want to carry a ladder anymore for simply hopping up in the bed and I miss my full length runningboards I had on the 04.

Yeah, Im tired of carrying a step ladder as well. I saw a 2017 with the Amp step on the left rear bumper, looked good and tucked up nicely.
