So I have a new to me 2013 Laramie Longhorn and I'm truly enjoying the new truck.... but the back up camera is cloudy.... and the lens looks like its a Lexan or Plexiglass cover.... I'm wondering if it can be polished to improve the clarity.... or if the lens is available as a service part... Part of this trucks life has been on winter roads where sand and other chemicals are used.... I know that I can polish my Lexan windshield on my Motorcycle and take all the scratches out..... BTW my neighbors Chevrolet with the camera mounted higher, has a much cleaner view/picture... so I know that some vehicles have better optics....

Its not an OEM camera, but I installed a camera on my 07 C&C, and the first time I washed my truck, it got cloudy. I used it that way for three years, and finally contacted the Vender, they told me they were on back order at @ $85.00. So I looked online and found one comparable to the original for only $15.00, so I bought three, and the first one of the three is still like new. Maybe you've got moisture in it.
