Patriot Diesel,

Let me know how you refit them to your 2000. I briefly looked into adding them to my 99, but I didn't seem to have the right mounting locations behind the seat.

TSB

For those of you also looking for these there is a TSB, I'll look for the number. But it states if you bring your truck to the dealer they will install a set for free, part of the Latch program for kids. I for one would rather do it myself but they would'nt give me the parts. I will look for the TSB and post.

I had that TSB done and its NOT the straps. Its actually 2 male ends of what looks like seat belt buckles that get attached to the pass seat and rear seat mounting bolts. I haven't looked closely at car seats, so I don't know exactly how they help fit the seat in.

I guess I'm missing something, are you guys talking about the straps to strap the seat down or are you talking about the Latch that comes in the vehicle that you attach the strap to. Vic R these then sound like where the strap would connect. I just bought 2 new car seats and they came with the straps to hook to the buckle type things your talking about. These car seats are meant to be used without the seat belt, to be used with the Latch system instead. But they also can use the seat belt. I plan to purchase the proper equipment to use the Latch system because it is much more secure and easier to get the seat tight. Any way later... .....
