At 24811 miles I changed reaf diff fluid over to Amsoil 75w90. Now at 35800 it is starting to seap a little. Just noticed it yesterday. I used the black form a gasket. When we did my sons we used the gray color and he has more miles on it. So I thank I will try the gray color next time. Just one of those things. :confused:
 
wipe both sides of the flange with acetone just before you apply the sealant.

Lightly apply the sealant to BOTH sides and rub into surface.

Then apply the "bead" of sealant.

Be sure to wait a few minutes to allow the sealant to absorb moisture from the air as this is what "cures" the silicone sealants. You will use less sealant and have a neater and better seal with this method.



PS Be sure to clean gearlube from inside housing so none can drool across your clean surfaces.
