2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rear Disc Brakes

Hey-



I was just thinking about putting rear discs on my truck and this idea came to me. EGR sounds like a good kit but for 1100 bucks, why cant you just get the axles and backing plates from an 01-02 dodge and buy rebuilt calipers, new rotors and pads and bolt that all up. Am i in the dark or has nobody ever thought of this before???

one guy did that and what he had to do was cut off the tabs of the axle and make new tabs to match the new backing plate and weld them on, then all he had to do was bolt it up..... You could get a 02 axle that has the tabs and get the stuff to make it work... . Cost of all that? I don't know.....
