I have the rear disc conversion on my 93, the calipers are from the rear of a 76-78 Cadillac Eldorado,Riviera, Toronado. They have a parking brake assembly in them, my question is I need to replace the pads, how do I retract the pistons, do I disconnect the parking brake and wind them back in???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Caleb

I already posted this in the 1st gen forum, didn't get a good answer, hoping someone will see it here that has done this, hoping I don't need to disassemble the caliper.

No need to mess with the parking brake, just use a c-clamp or something equivilent to push piston back in calipers, then when everything is reinstalled put on the parking brake a couple of times and it will adust itself.

you must turn the piston while pushing in one is cw and one is ccw dont remember which is which but dont just push the pistons and there is no need to remove the parking break
