The drivers side rear door won't open anymore. When I pull the handle, the upper latch releases, but the bottom does not. How hard is it to take the door apart enough to see what's going on in there?

Can you get something under the bottom latch to release it and allow the door to open - like a thin metal ruler or credit card?

You need to get the door panel off, and with the door closed that may be a bit difficult. If the door won't come open, you can remove the back seat with the 4 bolts (2 on each side). The seat back slids into clips, and the whole assy comes out in one piece. That'll give you a bit more clearance.

It's not hard to fix really, mine has done this a couple of times. Pull off the interior door panel (I think there is 1 or 2 screws and the rest are clips) Then you will see the latch from the handle with two rods going to the top and bottom of the door, the bottom rod will be off the latch, to make the process easier, I always pull the latch and the bottom rod together to open the door, this will give you alot easier access to the inside of the door to work. Re-install the rod to the latch, make sure you crimp this tight, I actually welded mine together the second time, but locking it securely in place should do the trick, put it all back together and your done.
