rear electric slider cable broke....

went to open the rear window and the cable broke... . has anyone had too change theres???? by the looks its like a cable system back there and it must of broke from the pulley end or something... . going to look into it this weekend... . at least i can manualy close it..... thanks for any help

let me know how that turns out. mine hasn't broken but it does slide about 1/2" past the stop point. I have to rely on my rear view mirror to make sure it is closed and not leaving a gap open. I will eventually look into fixing it but hasn't bothered me to that point yet.

Make sure the connection spot on the glass is ok

the plastic cable connecton tab broke on the slider, on the right side... ... it looks like a plastic channel that is attached to the bottom of the slider window... question is, can it be replaced or changed out????

Iirc it is part of the glass

really... so I may have to buy the slider part???? maybe mwillson will chime in, since he is in the part business... . he is awsome when people need part info... . I enjoy him in action..... maybe i will have to verify that at the dealer.....

It may be time to buy the complete slider assy unless the aftermarket has a fix
