Well I made a post on here about a month ago about my abs light being on. I replaced rear sensor still on. I redid the front pads since one side was worn more than other still on. So I was on the way to parts store to get oil and filter for an oil change and I noticed a howling sound from rear end. So I picked up some synthetic diff fluid and friction modifier to change too. Getting close to vacation season and I tow a 26ft weekend warrior. Well when I drained fluid I found 3 teeth from the pinion and noticed that the speed sensor ring was pretty chewed up. The gear ring was fine though. The truck has 130 thousand on it,what would have caused the pinion to loose teeth like that. Not only were the teeth missing but it also had a good crack in it. I don't do burnouts or brakestands,I have a #10 plate and 3kGSK and full ATS transmission and rear end is the 3:55 or 3:54 . What could have caused this? :{

No it's a 4wd and I don't really use it that much. I try to stay out of situations where I might get stuck. I have had the truck for 3 years had 76,000 when I bought it and now has 130,000. I had the diff. fluid changed 2 years ago at transmission shop when the stock transmission went out. I can't think of anything that could have caused it to happen. :confused:
