rear end oil ?

I need to change the oil in my rear end to a synthetic per the owners manual. I want to use Amsoil. What wt. oil, and do I need to use a friction enhancer with Amsoil? How much should I expect to pay for the oil?

I'm running Series 2000 75W-90 AmsOil with oyut limited slip additive and the rear end is working fine. As faras weight goes, how much weight do you tow and what is the climat like where you live/tow to?

We tow 8000 lbs. in Southwest desert climate sometimes over 100 degrees.

Do a search for every thing you can think of regarding The rear Diff. Such as Dana, Amsoil, Blah, blah, blah. There should be VOLUMES in the archives. Unless our moderaters deleted them all! Diid you?

I'd suggest draining the axle tubes when you do the changeout. I drained mine all out, then took the floorjack & raised 1 wheel @ a time to drain the axle tubes. You get a bunch out of each side. #ad
