I need to change out the rear end fluid in my truck. I couldn't seem to find the fluid capacity in a search for the stock cover.

Also, does the cover have a gasket and what type of sealant can I use when I button it back up?

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find the diff capacities in manual but I did find it in an old post with the capacity using the stock cover. It's supposed to be 3. 85 quarts. Funny, I read dozens of posts in a search at work and coudn't find it but once I posted my question from home - I find it right away.

So I guess I can just get a tube of RTV and seal the puppy up.

Thanks

Go to the dealer and get Mopar "Axle RTV" it's red/orange and the best I have ever used. Kinda pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Permitex also makes an red/orange sealent. That is what I used, both times I change it. In fact mine was leaking a little out of the holes on the side of the pumpkin and after cleaning it up, I put this sealer in the holes and that leak stopped also.
