I'm getting ready to order a Mag Hytek cover and want to also add a temp guage. Why? Cause there's a hole in that cover just asking for one:D ! Seriously though, I have not been able to locate a guage other than the generic one Genos sells. Are there any other options available for that??

I'm with you.

You can't have too many guages. I'm still waiting for Auto-meter to come out with one in their ultralite series. Might be waiting awhile. :D

SPA makes a dual gauge for transmission and diff temp and they also make a generic dual temp. I think they also make a dual pressure/temp gauge.

I went with the VDO Vision gauge. Order a second sender so that you can monitor engine oil as well. Just use a low contact resistance switch to toggle between the two senders.

On my truck there is a spare 1/8" NPT port on top of the oil filter flange right next to the oil line going to the turbo. Cummins claimed that this was its intended purpose.

Dkevdog:

I have an "Isspro" #R9054 140-320 degree electrical

gauge to montior my rear end temperature with the

"Mag-Hytec" cover. I think the cost on the gauge

was about $40. 00. This unit has worked very wel

for me the past year.

I got mine from Scheid Diesel @ 1-800-669-1593.

You can also Isspro @ 1-800-888-8065.

Hope this has helped you!

I tapped the fill plug on my NV4500 for a sender too. Now I'm installing one in my USGear 2sp. I have a triple throw switch to install. It's almost a cheap to buy one of those infrared laser sighted heat temp guns, hop out, bend over and shoot all your gearboxes. Did that the other day to check my system. Worked great. Handy little unit.

Well Geno's has three that I can see. . A Westach 50-350 temp gauge, and a Di-Pricol 140-350 temp gauge, and an Autometer 100-250 temp gauge... What are you looking for??????

I installed the ultralite 250* oil temp for my Mag-Hytec. So far I have not read over 165 at any time. If I could find a gauge that read in finer increments I would put that one in. A co. named Nordskog has a digital gauge that read by ones. If digital is your thing that one will work. I did install the clock on the dash from them.

. . Preston. .

Here's what I used 0-300° in 1° increments, senders are 1/8" and only $15 each. I've used many of these gauges trouble free for over ten years. They may be rebadged Nordskog gauges, company switched hands. Install a multi position rotary switch and as many senders as you like. You could even install a sender out into the cab to put under your tongue, they are accurate enough.

Is this the same gun?

On sale right now at TekSupply, 1. 800. 835. 7877, model #E102450. Much less than a buck too. #ad

Sorry, the image is not showing up, you will need to follow the link to see the picture.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I was looking for a guage that had a badging "Transaxle Temp" or something to that effect. Not just a universal temp guage. That'll work though!:D

QRTRHRS, many times if you find a product with a search on a company's website the link will only work for a little while. You have to look up the item without a search then use that link.

TekSupply's website goes nowhere. They sell ag related hardware, etc. I get a monthly email with specials, that's where I tried to paste the picture from. The gun is not in the regular catalog. It looked identical to the one LarryB had but at 2/3 the price which if the same would be a good deal. I can forward their email to anyone who is looking at a temp gun.
