Does anyone know of a alternative to rivet used to hold the plastic rear fender liners in place? New, the rivets cost approx $4. each and there are seven per liner.

Thanks,

Depends on how much your willing to spend for the long run. I got a "Rivnut puller"( 95585A100 Each $52. 59) with a bunch of rivet nuts( 98280A410 6. 58 per box) and one quarter/twenty allen head stainless screws(92949A542 $12. 03 per Pack of 50) with fender washers and install my plastic fenders front and back with those. Then I installed my mud flaps with them. It makes it easer to take anything on and off and you can do it as often as you like without paying 1. 25 or more each time for the plastic rivets. Then there is any thing you can think of to use them on. Only the imagination limits you.

I got all these from McMaster-Carr. Page 3190, 3187, 3055. Hope this helps

If I'm picturing this correctly... I used some washer headed sheet metal screws to replace the ones that fell out on their own. Just got out the cordless drill and a 3/8 driver and away we went!

Go to a Auto body and paint supply place and you can get a box of them for $6-$7. 00 I pushed them into the hole and used one pair of pliers to hold it in the hole and another to pull the stem. They break off when you get enough pull on them. These are the plastic ones.
