I have to unbolt the coolant line (bolt on pass side block). Does anyone know if this will give me enough clearance to get the 1/4" plate I made in place? It sure doesn't fit now... :mad:

Just want to make sure if I unbolt it I won't harm it cause I don't know if I'll be able to hook it back up...

It may clear, depending on the year. Unbolt the tube and push it back as far as you can. Look at the photos on the link above. One year the tube fits closer to the block. You will not know until you try it. As I recall the tube with the bolt on the passenger side gives you more room than the one with the bolt on the driver side.
 
I replaced all my freeze plugs with billet aluminum bolt on one's, they are holding up fine. No problem, Promblem solved. I went for a hell ride to test them out, no problem. Then I blew a head gasket, new problem. It seem's that decking the head, o-ringing the head and installing 14mm head studs were not enough.
