So with the 01 camper package what would the GVWR be? There was no SRW in 01; I am confused?

They were all 8800GVW until 2003, then they went to 9000GVW.



SRW in 01... you understand SRW is single rear wheel correct??? There was no SRW 3500 in 01 if that is what you are referring, but as noted before, the 2500HD with the camper special package was actually a SRW 3500 that wasn't badged that way.

So is my truck a camper special?? All I know is it's the "2500HD"

To check quickly, if it has a rear sway bar and the additional smaller "overload" springs on top of the main leaves... then it is a camper special.



I believe ALL the 2500HDs were 8800GVW... I don't think the camper special actually added any GVW to the title.

Mine has a rear sway bar and overloads, 2 or 3 of them.



I called around for springs and not really having luck. Found 1 set, but the truck was really really rusty. The guy said he got the front axle off by tapping the control arms with a hammer and they came apart from rust!



I'm thinking to leave the current springs and just put the air bags. I bet with 10-15psi in them it will level it right out??
