Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Rear Main Seal

How hard is it to install a rear main seal in my ctd?

The hardest part is pulling the trans. I got the seal out by using a small prybar against the inside of the seal and just popping the seal out. The new one comes with a seal starter to make it easier. The new seal from Cummins cost about $90. Have fun

I drilled a couple of holes one@ 3:00 & one @ 9:00 & put a couple of sheet metal screws & pried it our t that way.

It is kinda tricky to get back in (getting it started straight)
