Anyone know if a 2wd shock is shorter than a 4wd shock at full compression???

Since removing the "lift block" for better alignment with my camper, I get a bottoming out issue on the shocks (I have airbags, so the bumpstops are gone).

I want to remember the 2wd not having the lift blocks from factory??

Yes, there are definitely two shock lengths for Rams. The 4wd trucks use a longer shock. The new Gen III Cab and Chassis trucks use 4wd shocks whether 2wd or 4wd.

I'm on the search for a set of 2wd shocks...

On a side note, I discovered I actually have a set of velvet-rides I bought many years ago, and never installed because they wouldn't work on a truck with overload springs (2500 with the camper package). I may actually see if they will fit my 3rd gen.
