not long after I bought my truck I put on a new set of Michelins and after returning it to NTB for rebalancing 4 times the balance is OK now, (still not what I think it should be) but around 30-40mph the rearend seems to have a side to side shake, I picked up the rear with a forklift at work and ran it up to about 30 mph and it appears that wheels and tires have side to side movement or a wobble I guess you would say. what could cause this? I pulled the wheels off and tightend up the wheel bearings, they were a little loose, when I was putting the wheels back on it, it seem that the inside wheel does not seat good against the hub, or if you tightened the first lug nut too much it would make the wheel cocked a little. it just seemed to me the inside wheel doesnt seat solid and flat to the hub. has anyone had this problem or suggestions? are these dually wheels that hard to balance? and what air pressure should I run for everday driving? thanks, Chris... ... ... ... .....

Check the wheel right where it bolts to the hub... you might have a lot of built up rust/crap that could be throwing it all off. I've seen it happen..... in the winter months a lot of crud will collect on the inside of the rear wheels... to the point where the brake drums and wheels have no space inbetween them.

I run 70psi in 7 - 10,000lb. ambulances with DRW... front and rear.

Hope this helps,

Matt

For tire pressure suggestions, check your tire inflation guide. I should be with your owner's manual. Minimum pressure for the stock sized tires is: rear (unloaded) 40 psi. For the front, 65 psi.

If you don't see anything behind the wheel, you have bent wheels. Sounds more like something behind them if you can't get it to seat right. The dummies at NTB should have cleaned this off one of the 5 times they had the wheels off. Did they test drive it? Maybe they bent them... .
