Personally, I thought they all sounded bad and are currently keeping dust off the bottom of a box in my storage room ;). Check out the Crutchfield.com site for guidance to what will fit those stock locations without cutting.

I second what Kurt said. My front and rear factory speakers looked like the cheap little buzzy speakers that come in low cost TVs and radios. I've since installed Morel 2 ways in the front, Peerless 2 ways in the rear for fill and a couple of 10" Madisound Sledgehammer subs. All powered by Alpine and Fosgate. If you're not into making custom panels and boxes to fit aftermaket speakers, Crutchfield has large selection of good speakers that will fit the factory openings. Their catalog and tech support are good for telling you what will fit.

Dane, where did you find a distributor for the peerless speakers? I haven't seen any one in my area sell the peerless line. I had 12 peerless drivers in a Honda CRX back when I was younger and they are sweet speakers. Did you purchase local or through a catalog? What are sledgehammer make subs? I went to the Fosgate installation school back in 1988 in Tempe,AZ, they have awesome sub amps.

I like to dabble building loudspeaker systems (non-automotive)and buy quite often from Madisound at http://www.madisound.com/

They carry many lines, including Peerless.

My preference for drivers is SEAS from Norway, although I have used drivers from many manufacturers.

Speakers.

(Tried to PM this, but Kurt your PM box is full)

Hey Kurt,,,

You still got those speakers that you were talkin' about layin' around?

My passenger door speaker is not working, and my tweeters recently quit (Not long after the pass. door speaker stopped working)

Do you have any experiance with the tweeters in the Dodge's with the Infinity systems ? (I sure would like my tweeters to work again)

If you would be interestes in unloading your speaker(s) I really could use atleast the pass door (front door) speaker.

Get back to me if you have any thoughts.

(I was going to go to the stealer but they always poke my eyes through the back of my head)

(I can't just replace the speaker with a "normal" pioneer either because I have been told that each speaker in the infinity system has it's own 45 Watt amplifier.

Idea's ?

TIA

Ironically, your VM box is full too :D. I would be glad to send you a speaker at no charge, if you'll cover the shipping. I've emptied my mailbox if you want to reply via VM.

Guys, I replaced my speakers, all 4 of them with boston acousics. The front speakers have the amps attached to them, they do have the stab on spades for the speakers though. I used the stock amps for now with the new speakers but I plan on getting a 200 watt amp and a sub and eliminate the stock amp. My rear speakers still sound muddy but not as bad as before.

I also want to get a 7 band EQ to put in the wide cubby hole in the dash. (I have a stick) . The boston ACoustics speakers sound much better and don't distort.
