2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rear Spring Height and Axle clearance

I am trying to find out if there is a difference in the way these trucks are sprung/raised or is it wear and tear. My '97 truck seems to sit lower in the rear than others yet it has the 8800gvw and over loads, a 2" leveling kit would make it sit nose high empty. If others could take some measurements it would be a great comparission for us and those that find their trucks either to high or to low. Here is what I posted on another thread.

My spacer blocks below the rear springs are about 4 1/2". What I would like to know is the axle to frame spacing. I measured my spacerblock bump stop to the rubber bump stop. It measures 3 3/4" not a whole lot of travel, Maybe my springs are worn? These measurments are with a near empty truck (a sheet of plywood and some trash)? any other's measurments would be appreciated, Cheers.

My truck has the 8800 GVW setup. There is an approximately 1" block on top of the axle pad between the axle and springs. The truck does not go lower than level with 4,000 metered pounds of gravel in the bed. I do have the cmper special option.
