Rear tire width on a dually

What is the widest rear tires you can use on a dually without a spacer? will bfg MT 285/70r17 work with no problems?

I doubt a 285 can be used. Stock is 235, and not much room at that. With a load anything wider than 9" may rub. I have not seen many options for the dually without spacers. One suggestion was to use the 225's on 19. 5" wheels, and get G rated commercial tires, but the wheels are about $500 each.

They may work, but you won't have much room if they do, that size is 11. 22 inches wide-it'll be close. I just put on 34x10. 5x17 swampers and they still have an inch between them believe it or not.
