Rear Upgraded Speakers For Infinity System?

I have a 2003 Quad cab with the Infinity premium stereo system... . I now need to replace the rear speakers. What size speakers do I need, and what would you recommend for my replacements? My stereo is stock and will remain that way, however, I would like a better speaker than the stock ones.

The size of the rear speakers at least in my 05 quad cab is 5. 25. I put in polk components in the rear. Polk makes speakers w/o components as well

When I needed to replace the speakers in my 98 Qcab, I found a web site that gave you all the dimensions of the stock speakers and the maximum depth & size of what you could upgrade to.



Unfortunately my memory fails as to the exact site, but I believe it was searched using "car stereo speaker installation", it also gave a ton of great tips and tricks for doing electronics installs specific to your vehicle.



I will see if I can find it and post. I did eventually change my speakers to Blaupunkt "Thunder" series speakers which use rare earth magnets and provide unbelievable sound, plus fit our doors with the most clearance for backspacing.
