So I was just in my buddies NEW 2019 F-150, and had a chance to drive it... I was amazed at how clear the rear view camera/display was in comparison to my 2013 with 85K miles... I honestly don't remember my display ever being that crystal clear.... so today I went out and used one of those headlight lens polishing systems on the camera lens.... I was thinking how many times the truck has been through a car wash to keep it looking nice.... I'm writing this BEFORE the test drive so I don't have a clue how it worked..
But looking at his camera, the lens looks exactly like mine and I'm wondering if one supplier is supplying most of the companies with this feature and if over the years the megapixel quality of this camera has improved..
So as soon as I test drive the truck I will edit this thread... but if you have some thoughts I'd love to hear it...
BTW, he has been a F-150 guy all his life with a wife that needs that lower pickup to enter and exit with her physical needs.... we always kid each other about our trucks...
