Rear Wheel Bearing Nut - Size Socket?

Now that the belt madness is nearing an end, I have the R/R axel seal to contend with. I did a search and could only come up with something from January 01 on the 12V section pertaing to the seals. What size socket do I need to get the nut off and, can anyone give a tip on how to get the locking wedge out w/o breaking the blasted thing?

To gett he clip out DO NOT try to move the nut to losen it up. It is a $5 mistake. My guess is to take a screw driver under the lip of it towards the center of the axle and pry it away from the axle housing. My 2500 5 speed dana 80/70 used a 2 9/16th axke socket.

Thats the size for mine also. I saved one clip, had to buy the other, what a rip off.
