Hi, I was thinking about getting the rear wheel liners before snow on my 3500 SRW. Has anybody had any problems with them and do they really help? Would like to put on before snow, should I undercoat the rear wheelwells prior to installing the liners? Thanks

2004. 5 3500 SRW, 48RE (wife made me) :{ , SLT, 4x4 shortbox, Deep Molton Red with late issue polished wheels, Luv my truck! Oo.

The liners are worth getting as far as I'm concerned. No snow down here, but if you go off road any they sure help. My old 2000 model had them from the factory. Maybe they should start offering them as a option.

EMathis,

The rear wheel liners are worth it. They keep the dirt from getting thrown all over the bottom. They are easy to install, just read the instructions. I do not know about the 3500's, but on the 2500's, the rear tires do not have to come off. It will keep your truck a lot newer underneath. With the plastic material, no underseal is needed, but its up to you.

The dealer already had them installed before I got my truck. It was something like $100... Well worth it

This is like a 20 minute project- a super easy install. I really like the look of mine and make the truck easier to clean.

Actually, Dodge should not have taken them off the the truck in the first place. I guess they could sell more through their parts department and make more $$$ that way, though.

I have them on my truck... . negotiated the liners & the front hood protection. The liners give the truck a nice, finished look also.

SAD to say,Ford or chevy does not have the wheel well liners either. Maybe a wave of the future :{ coobie

Got mine at the dlr. Well worth the $100. Prior to installation it sounded like I was in a tin can with rocks being thrown at me. :{ Much quieter now.

They are Mopar part number 82207367

Is this part number good for a 4. 5HO QC 2500 LWB? Where is the best place to order these? I also would like to try and install prior to snow.

Thanks, Jeff

Something that no one has mentioned is that they are a very tight fit with snow chains. Make sure you try out your chains after you have installed the liners. I had to chop mine quite a bit so that the chains would clear without any worries of catching the liner and destroying them. They are still very effective, I just had to cut out the section that comes down towards the back of the wheel at a 45 degree angle, now I have about 3 or 4” of room between the liners, where as stock it was somewhere around 1. 25”.

Anyway, IF YOU HAVE LINERS, MAKE SURE YOU TRY OUT YOUR CHAINS BEFORE YOU GET STUCK!

My '05 dually came with them. They are much better than what the called a liner on the '99. They cover the whole area very well... I was actually impressed. ;)

Dually's will always have them, to protect the fiberglass shrouds. I had them installed on mine and the ride is much quieter, less rock pinging. I just wish they had mud flaps. I would definately get a pair, well worth the $$. If your going to go that far, you might add mud flaps.

Just checked dodgeparts.com

$74. 40 for liners $42 to ship them? Seems a tad pricey to ship?

What have others paid to ship them?
