My ABS and Brake lights stayed on, as well as no speedometer reading until above 25mph. I replaced the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor located on top of the differential and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks to a search on this forum, I diagnosed it correctly.
The one thing I have to add is that the sensor has been changed to a part with the connector facing the passenger side rather than driver side and requires an extension lead. The part# for my 98. 5 is 05014787-AA which includes the extension lead. The dealer had first sold me the sensor only (part #056028187-AD) which did not have the extension lead included. Cost for either part at my dealer was $37. 50.
Also, before pulling out the old sensor, I cleaned the area with spray carb cleaner so crud would not fall in the hole of the differential.
Quick and easy fix.
Thanks TDR!
