I'm wondering what type of rear ends are in my '01 2500 Sport???

There is only one and it is probably a Dana 80 if you have the towing package.

Dana 60 up front and either a 70 or 80 out back. You can read the tag cover or go by the case shape.

In '01 the auto trans had the 70 and the manual trans had the 80.

The rear is either a D70 or a D80 "hybrid"...

The dana 80 was in both man trucks and the dually with either trans

The 2500 manual tran 80 is a Hybrid. The center section is a 80 to the spring perches and then 70 sized from there on out. I have not been able to find out if the axle shafts are the same or not
