Am considering a rail pressure gauge, since they are very expensive, are they "worth it"? Exactly what are the advantages of monitoring rail pressure? thanks james
One of the key points of a rail pressure gauge is for tuning. They allow you to see how much fuel is being maintained in the rail. Once pressures drop too low you start to lose power. They are also nice for checking the condition of the system. Just as boost gauges allow you to monitor the air system.
Not to mention you can never have too many gauges.
I got mine to help with tuning also, to see when the box/downloader stack is too high and draining rail of pressure. Unless you are running high horsepower boxes/downloaders/stacks then probably not necessary.
