UPDATE:



A new model Kenwood and Orion amp are with UPS on the way to me - Allstate was a bit slow to get moving but they have a company called CCS that all they do is replace stereos...



They call me and asked what models - they said they can get the new-like-model that is the equalivelent, I was like, OK! I only paid $50 for age of my stuff...



AND they covered the tools, and all of the damage (less my deductable)...



All and all I am 8/10ths happy. Stereo will be installed in covert manner, as will amp - I will fix damage at friends shop and I am 1 step closer to my DD SBC Clutch with the rest of the money !!!!!!!!!

Sadly no because they said is was personal propety and was not actually stolen. I was going to ask why tools and not the turbo... . but I bet because one is $300 and one is $1600 from Dodge - They were cool about replacing the amp and headunit even though my policy sayd "no aftermarket stereos covered"



So I just let it go... I came out "ok" if you know what I mean (seeing as the door can be repaired with touchup. .



Once I get the check and repair the door, the rest will go towards a DD

That really sucks man I had a nissan broken into and they jacked a ton of stuff.

When I was in college I walked up on some thug trying to steal my Mustang. My roommate and I danced on the gentlemans face for a bit until the Campus Police showed up. Cost me a destroyed door handle and damaged paint

I keep telling myself I am going to get an alarm (one of them fancy two way models ) but I usually spend that money on more stereo equipment

When I'm not wrenching, I sometimes (not often) get a moment to tune my 1/8 PCR Edition Hyper 7 ...



I was really into it back a couple years (sactioned local racing), now I just run it around the subdivision/parks just for kicks... Its one of those things were you dont want to sell it cause you know you will revisit the hobby and have to buy all new stuff :-laf



Just one more hobby that I need more time in the day to enjoy.

I hear ya! My baby (former T-Maxx, gone SuperMaxx ) is in my gallery.



Haven't had the money to run it for about 6 months. oh well...

Some scum tried to do the same to me in Nashville a few days ago. However,

I have two words for him "laminate glass!" He didn't know the door handle trick. He tried to go through the side windows. Ha ha, they put laminate glass in the side windows in the 2006's. He worked on the rear window first. He took some chunks out of it and cracked it. He then went to work on the front glass. I think he tried about eight places to break/shatter it. He finally tore a hole in the center of it. But by that time a worker came out of the hotel and scared him off. I had removed the faceplate from my cd/nav system anywho. I would have loved to have seen his face as he was trying to get in, with no success. The good guys win one every once in a while!! Thank you DC for the laminate glass!

While I had the door handle apart replacing it, I slaped that one in... Really easy



It does make some ticking/rattling noise when the engine hits teh perfect RPM though... I think I need to tighten a few parts

Hey Tommy, just saw this thread, sorry for the loss. These guy's have been hitting all over in West County and North County as well as the City. As a matter of fact the midnight crew has been just missing a stolen canary yellow Monte Carlo for the past several nights as they have been breaking into cars in apartment complexes and Motels. Only problem is with our restrictive pursuit policy the boss's won't let us chase them.



As far as your turbo I imagine it found itself either at scrap yard or in a dumpster (I know you didn't want to hear that). These geniuses would not know what they had or what it would be for.
