I'm in the hunt for the truck in my sig. Wondering if anyone has any info on what may happen with the current rebate ($2,500) on the '04's. The current rebate program is set to expire on 7/6.

In years past, what has Dodge tended to do?

If I were Dodge, I would announce rebates on 05's (which currently there are none) and maybe up the rebates on '04s to clear them out.

Any insights appreciated.

Thanks.

I follow some of the financial stuff and the last 2 months items such as cars and trucks have been in a sales slump. The small jump in interest rates should keep rebates going plus maybe some better offers as we go into Aug

I was able to take the best of either, but you can't take a rebate that was in effect between order and delivery.

Speaking of rebates; I just signed up with the local farm bureau. For the $75 it cost for membership I will be getting a $500 rebate from Dodge. This is the second time Ive will have used this.

Klenger: Yes you can have both cash back rebate and ZERO % finance even if that offer was IN BETWEEN order and delivery. You can if it takes DC over FIVE months to deliver your truck and you threaten the dealer to not take delivery until they make it happen, that is. I found the DC Fulfilment center number here on the TDR (incl. the contact name) and made my dealer do the dirty work. I may have missed the offer deadline dates (not my fault), but I got the offer anyway. You never know what you can get til you ask... just ask loud enough, LOL!

BTW, Jersey buyers: unless you're in the Agriculture racket, FORGET about getting the Farm Bureau Rebate.

I would wait till the 05's come out. Ive got a buddy who is the fleet dept. manager at the dodge dealer I bought my truck at, and he said that the rebates on the 04. 5's are supposed to be raised after the 05's show up, and the 05's will most likely get a 2500 rebate just like the 04. 5's did.

I'm in Florida, how does this work??

I would be wary of expecting a $2500 rebate on the '05's anytime soon. DC just upped the rebate on the 04. 5's and it will last only about 6 weeks. This is to help dealers clear lots and take less of a hit before the 05's arrive as much as it is to help DC recoup money out of their product line.

I hope I'm wrong 'cause I'm getting an '05 too but I'm not expecting a rebate on it until this time next year when their trying to clear lots for the '06's.

gogriz91...

Where do you see references to DC upping the rebate on 04. 5's?

I did notice today that the $2,500 rebate due to expire on 7/6 was extended to 8/31. But the amount is the same.

Any info appreciated.

The farm bureau rebate has been used by Dodge for a long time to sell trucks to farmers. Ford and GM used to give one but has stopped. Anyway your county probably has a local farm bureau. Look it up in the phone book. I went by the local office paid my yearly dues, filled out a application, and was given a certificate for the dodge rebate. When i pick up my truck I will give the dealer the cert and he will send it into Dodge. In a few weeks I will be getting a check for $500. Very easy!!

I did read somewhere in the fine print there was a 30 day waiting period for the Farm Bureau rebate.

So if your truck is on order and arrives 30 days or later after you join your local Farm Bureau, there should be no problem.

If you're dealing on a truck before the 30 day wait, there might be a snag.

Can't say what the rebates will do, but from my history... . last November, I found an '03 CTD like I wanted (except that it had a long bed)... . got a $6000 rebate on it... . decided I would live with the LB, and shoot, now, I like it... . carries more stuff..... I realize that most people like to order, but, I've done that a couple of time and I just don't like the wait... . so I find one on a lot that's really close to what I want... . and of course, the rebate was good.....
