Like this thread shows. (Of course, that's a G56, but the NV5600 has a boot there too).

I'd have to look closer, but I don't think it's leaking that far forward. I'll check to be sure though.

Back from the dead.

A few weeks ago I had my truck at the dealer for a complete parking brake teardown. At the same time I had him look at the leak to determine where it's coming from. He said it's the output seal, $220 to have it fixed.

That's all meaningless because, I GET IT FIXED FOR FREE!!! WOOHOO!!! The rebuilder will take it out, fix it, put it back in for what it costs me to drive down there and back. It's actually going in for the 4th gear synchro issue, but the leak will be fixed too. I made sure I asked the guy if parts AND labor are covered and he said "yes". I'm pretty sure their stated warranty says parts only so I'm happy. I was expecting another rebuilt unit and then I'd have to pay $500 to have it swapped.

Now all I have to do is lay the truck up for two days "whenever it works. "
