REC Navigation

Has anyone try converting their REC Navigation radio over so you are able to watch dvd's on it by a company called TV and NAV 2 GO if so please let us know how it turned out?

I considered it, but at $495 plus shipping, I didn't feel it was worth it.

I did the mod. I only use it for the backup camera option though. It's nice to know what's behind me in that huge blind spot that can hide a car or a child or a dog. Used to worry about it all the time, now I know exactly what's back there even at night with the infrared LED's.

Which camera did you install for the rear view? I completely agree for a need of a back up camera and trying to decide on which way to go which is why I looked into this mod.

I believe I may try this route. It looks like this gives you the integration for a backup camera, as well as an additional input that you can use for dvd/etc.



I'm not sure what these retail for, but ebay looks like $250 or so. --Eric
