2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission recal for bigger tiers

A week or so ago I put on 285's. The other day I was on the highway doing 75 like I usually do and I was blowing by people the hole time, when doing 75 in the past I have been keeping up with people not passing like crazy. The road is posted at 65 and when I was doing 65 I was passing like every one else was doing 55 or less I know the yahoo's around here arnt going that slow. With that said what is the easiest way to get my speedo to read right. I don’t thing my mileage is going to be right now either can I just get something done to the ECM or pcm so it will read right? If so where can I get this done? Thanks Doug

I believe that Superlift makes a Truspeed module to compensate for larger meats. I have seen them in the Summit catalog.

You can get the TruSpeed from Rickson Truck Accessories (they have 19. 5" rims for our Dodges) for less than you can get it locally or from other web distributors. I got mine from there & they include instructions specific to your Dodge as well. I made a lot of calls & did some shopping & Rickson's beat everyone hands down, including shipping.



I followed the instructions to a T, but ended up fine tuning the exact speed usin' a borrowed GPS. I mounted mine on the steering column brace at the firewall for easier access, yet its nicely out of the way.

Haven't tried it yet, but goto the Dodge Dealer, get the tech to hook up the DRBIII tool, go into the abs mode, should see two preset tire size values 265 and 285, then below that should see other, go into that screen and it will say blank rev's per mile, find out the number of your particular tire before going and enter it in. This was posted on another site, liek I said haven't tried it personally but I intend to soon.

I went from 245's to 265's on my 99 so I went to the dealer to have it "adjusted. " When the tech went in to the OBD system, the biggest tire size available on my pickup was a 245. I don't know if all 99s were that way or not... my . 02 worth.

This is one of the reasons I bought my Superchips. YOu enter in the actual tire size in inches and this is fed into the cpu via the diagnostics port. Along with a +70hp and +140 lbft for $350. Hyperchips does same, and I would lean toward if I had opportunity to try one.
