Recall 701,000 Rams ???

I read at the bottom of news channel, DaimlerChrystler to recall 701,000 Dodge Rams.
Does anybody know why? #ad

My mother just said she heard the news talking about the Ram recall and she said she specifically heard them say something about a "Throttle cable recall for the diesel Rams" in addition to the Hood latch problem. She did not rember what year they said in regards to the throttle cable. I am dying to know, anybody hears anything, Post it!

the throttle cable recall is for 94's-96's
according to WFSB in hartford, ct. 94's -
99's for the hood latch

Here is a little more information.

I just checked my '94 Salt belt truck. The secondary hood latch spring has a little corrosion on it, but moves freely and does not bind.
