recall h-34

I recieved a letter from my dealer saying there was a recall on 7. 5 called: H-34 Dash Silencer Pad, what ever that is. Any body have a ideal what it is.

something to do with sound/heat pad on the underbody of cab by exhaust

It is a stamped metal plate that gets self tappers,To keep the insulation on the firewall from drooping and ignite on the egr cooler.

Actually it is the pad on the top of the firewall right under the windshield. It has caused a few fires when it gets against the egr cooler. It will droop out and drop down on the cooler. I know one guy that had an engine compartment fire and that is probably what caused it although I never heard for sure.

Bob is right. I had mine done yesterday, took about 30 minutes. No big deal but it's better then a fire

now there is a new H 36 recall that is still coming through the pipeline sent the info to my dealer as he does not know about it as it is not posted on the Tech Connect site yet
