I am happy to say that Daimler Chrysler did decide to reimburse me for having this work done before the dealers got the recall notice. I recieved word that they will be sending me out a check. :)

On a down note... . This morning after my truck had been sitting fir a week or so Each time I tried to start it... it would start but as soonas I let go of the key it would Die... I finally had to hold the throttle down a little bit before it would keep running.

After a 40 minute ride I shut it off 15 min later it did the same thing and again I had to apply a little throttle before it would catch.

Other than that it runs fine and idles ok at a light.

ANY IDEAS OUT THERE WHAT IT COULD BE?

Thanks

The idle is probably too low. I don't know why but these things seem to need the idle set up a little every so often.

Hard Starting

In the last week I have noticed my idle speed is about 500 RPM and after it sits a while it is also hard to start also. :( In the next week I am planning on taking my pickup to the dealer to have the Throttle cable recall fixxed, would the cable have anything to do with this?

thanks,

Brian:

The throttle cable should have nothing to do with idle speed or hard starting. 500 RPM is too low. Should be at least 700.
