My 2015 RAM 3500 has been recalled for possible failure of the wheel studs due to over-torque. The recall has been out there since July 2021. I live 60 miles from the dealer, and they will want to keep my truck all day or possibly overnight. I would like to check the studs myself and if any studs need replacement I'll bite the bullet and let the dealer do it. I have a copy of the Dealer Service Instructions, but I need to know the minimum allowable diameter for the studs. The MOPAR tool (shown below) for measuring the studs is part # 2077700030. Freedom Racing sells the tool for $43.37. I have numerous precision measuring tools that could be used instead of this tool. Is there anyone out there that owns this tool and can provide me with the exact inside measurement?
