Can you believe that I just got off the phone with my dealer and DC and my truck is not on the recall list!!!!!! I bought it in june of 96 and it was made in may so the d. a. m. n thing should be covered... . I also told the about the 5th gear nut and they act like they have never heard anything about it.

Hyper, Lets face it, most these "mechanics and service managers" just figure you can buy a cheap jacket and strut around like a little rooster and think you know it all! The word is "charlatans" I believe.
Yes, there are some real good ones but most are wannabes.

Most great mechanics, or any tradesman, have been at it since a young age and have a sincere interest in what they do... . its in their blood!

These TDR guys, for the most part, study their trucks and the books about them... sincere interest!

What recall are you talking about, I have a '95 dually and have been through a few recalls... . and a 2001 frame is under mine due to cracking on the spring perches! FOR FREE!!

Just got off the phone with one of the local dealers and they havent heard anything from DC yet but have received a few calls from owners about this recall. I am going in for some warranty work on my Jeep Cherokee tomorrow morning and will take my trk vin # so they can check with DC. I will post the results when I get home tomorrow. My throttle cable looks ok but has all of a sudden gotten a lot of slack in it.

What recall'S
Tell them to try a better radio station. .
Ing/blower wiring.
throttle cable.
Factory installed trailer recievers
check valve/vac system(unlimited milage/years) on affected vech,even if you were not the origanal owner. . _have to check papers may be limited to 7 years. .
tell me when to stop!!
Better yet tell the dealer/seller unless he wants to refund you all $/cost get busy.

Well went to the dealer today took my vin number and they ran it thru there cumputer and what do you know- they never heard of this throttle recall. They said if the recall comes out they will reimburse me after I submit the paper work and it is approved yada yada yada . Probaly take 6 months or more.
