I use a nice pintle hitch as my hitch plug. I don't think it looks tacky at all, everybody I've talked to says it looks manly.

I have a Rams Head LED that you go from 4 pin to 7pin plug that lights up . I purchased this from Overton's Catalog and was around 18. 00 plus shipping.

It is really sharp at night.

DF5152,

Is that an A. R. E. Z series cap? If so, do you like it???

Also, are those flush mount backup lights? What kind?

Nice hitch plug!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine is a "remove to tow ford" one..... for now.

yes its and ARE Z series cap very nice have not had any problems so far. they are hella duel element flush mount lights 2 55 watt bulbs in both lights i havent wired them yet one day soon, i hope. My hitch plug doesnt have to be removed to tow a ford just slide the clevis in the hole and hookem up and away i go.

Dan

where in NY r u?

Df5152,

Does you ARE have a compression boot or window between the cab? Did you get the electric lock kit?

How did you cut the holes for the Hella's? Plasma cutter?

I'm up by Poughkeepsie.

no boot or electric/remote lock. I used a drill and cut off wheel for this one i did it just before i bought my plasma cutter. we have a club on the island are there any near you?

No local clubs... I attended the Buzz Chew event a few years ago down your way while visiting relatives.

Do you have the Hella part #'s for those lights?

I'm thinking you could probably sell quite a few of your "hitch plugs" to your fellow TDR members!

no part numbers handy. im building up my inventory then i will sell some i have some steps and currently working on some racks then maybe those hitch plugs they are a little labor intensive.
