Going to install a PML cover and take off the stock one. Since I don't have a lift, what would be your recommendations as to get a little more working room under the rear of the truck. Would you just leave it on the ground/level and try to pull the old cover that way or would you back up onto those plastic blocks? Just curious for those who do it themselves w/o a lift. Thanks! :D

I left mine on the ground. The area I did mine was level also so I got almost all of the fluid out via gravity. Is this on the '02 or the '06? Doesn't matter in relation to your question, just curious.

Even better with the re-usable cover gasket. I really had no problems on either my '02 or the '04. 5 when I did either one of them. Hope this helps some.

Did mine in the driveway. Did take out the spare tire to give a little more room. Once the old cover was off, I jacked each side up, one side at a time, about 2 inches to drain out better.
