red dust on wheels

Some one at the firestation has noticed a red dust on the front wheels of her truck ever since she has had it (20,000 miles)

Just wondering if it is brake dust or something that is normal or have any of ya'll had any problems with this. .

Brake dust.

Brake dust,factory pads dont last long.

If the truck is a 2000 or newer,these get dusted the worst.

I recently installed a cummins e-brake and my brake dust has almost deminished,I hardly use the wheel brakes at all. #ad
