The way to get around it has already been posted

i see farmers all the time with those tanks in the back of their dodges i guess to put fuel into tractors etc. I bet there are a few out there that hook up the truck fuel tanks to the big tanks in the bed with red fuel in them all the while having regular green fuel that seldom gets used in the main factory fuel tank LOL

Another method is to cut a new fuel fill hole in the bed to the factory tank, disconnect, extend to the bottom of the tank and plug the factory fill tube and fill it with green fuel.

Don't think you'll have much luck changing the color of the red fuel.

Red Fuel

Let me tell you how it is in Sask. Canada concerning red diesel fuel. A farmer can burn red diesel in any vehicle on any road or hiway as long as one has a farm plate on it. To qualify for a farm plate one has to own 80 acres,or own 10 cows,or have $10,000 income from some sort of farm ing. We can only use red fuel for farm related trips, not supposed to go to the doctor,no funerals or weddings,no grocery shopping,no pleasure driving. Of course there are ways around this like no matter where a farmer goes he is most certanly is doing something related to farming, even going to a wedding i might want to get a bolt from another farmer that he has brought along to the wedding, this bolt could be and probably is for my tractor, very legitimate reasons. If we cant justify a trip as being farm related we are supposed to use clear fuel which has the road taxes included in the price. There is always red dye residue in the tank that will show up when they check it but as long as it looks like its been diluted with clear fuel the law enforcments stand on this is you did put clear fuel in and they know you cant get all the red dye out of your tank but you are trying so no problem. If one is caught with red fuel in a vehicle with anything but a farm plate the first offence is $500. 00, second time is a bit more, after that maybe a little jail time till one learns. Overall its a pretty good system with one exception and that being a problem with our niegbour on the south side of the 49th. If i take my farm plated vehicle with red diesel in it going across to the US,and strickly for parts at the local JD dealer and i get checked which the US customs can do,they will levy a fine on me for $1500. 00 or more and send me back north. Now this has to be one of the most stupid laws becouse it dont matter if i go to the US with red fuel, clear fuel, gas, or any other kind of fuel in my vehicle, the US is not getting any kind of road tax from me unless i fill up in the US and this is not a requirment to do so. Now of course if i go further into the US and need fuel i have to buy clear fuel to travel the US hiways, and if i should buy some red fuel in the US then i would be subject to the fines if i am caught and this is the way it should be. I have been told by the US customs and at the scales that even if they find just a tinge of red color we will be subject to fines and or turn around and dont come back with that vehicle. I am not bashing the US becouse we have some laws and rules in our country that are just as stupid and itiotic as yours, one wonders where in hell these people come from that thinks up some of these rules and regulations, you dont suppose its true that these people are from another planet living amongst us and we dont know it!

Well, I think the problem in the U. S. for the last 50 years or so, is that college-educated momma's-boys who then go on to law school have been making the rules.

The legal profession is the ONLY profession in this country that gets to make it's own rules, AND set it's own rate of pay.

Just look at some of the "rulings" that we have had to live under:

Pornography has been made A-OK.

Homosexuality is just fine & dandy.

Prayer, however is out.

God is not allowed in the classroom or on public property.

Killing an unborn child is a "woman's right".

The Federal Judges in this country have powers that King George of England, in 1774, only dreamed of.

What your discribing sounds exactly like my country, i could probably name a hundred more laws we have here that totaly boggles the mind as to who thought them up and how they could have possably have implemented them into law.
