I was at the local parts store today and saw some RED LINE DIESEL FUEL ADDITIVE . SO I did a search on here and all I can find is Redline gear oil products, not fuel. Probably same company. . anybody using it? THanks!

I'm using it now. No noticeable difference... . to me... . from Stanadyne, only harder to find and more expensive. I did find a local source who sold it to me for $3. 77 a bottle when I bought 12. I'll go back to Stanadyne like I always have before.

I saw it in my local Pep-boys... they had tons of the stuff. Right at 4. 00 per bottle. I read where you only put in one ounce of the stuf and it works for your whole tank?? It says to use it every tankful of Diesel. Thanks for the replies!!!

Its about the best additive you can get, if you have an easy local source, stick with it. I prefer it over stanadyne because it disperses water, doesn't clump it together(demulsify) like stanadyne. $4 a bottle is a steal - I've seen it as high as $8.

I have always used it in all my John Deeres. Works great and I plan to start using it in my CTD. . Good stuff!

Just a few other things about redline - the 85 plus and Diesel Fuel Catalyst are the exact same products. They used to be slightly different, but the two products are identical now - per Redline's tech department. They are both offered in a 'winterized' version, that contains antigel. These are hard to find locally, although I just ordered a case of the winterized version online at www.srcc.biz website. It took me forever searching google to find it, so I thought I'd post the link.

I went back to the store, and the one I see is the CATALYST! So if they are identical. . I'm good to go. THe bottle is confusing ... . The way I read it is that 1 oz treats 100 gallons, but after speaking with someone they use the entire bottle in their tank!! How much do you use??????

There are different treat ratios prescribed on the bottle - for maintenance dose and for cleanup dose. I go somewhere in the middle. I typically fill 75 gals or so when I fill up so I usually just dump a whole bottle in, sometimes a little less.

THanks everyone!! Since I have been using the Synpower I don't think I need the whole clean up dose, so I'll go pick up a few bottles today! Oo.
