Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) reduced boost

Driving back from the race track pulling my trailer I noticed that I was no longer getting 30 psi of boost. I have a '97 with a TST #11 plate. The truck is producing about 24-25 psi, but the EGT's are running about the same as before. (1250 pre turbo, full load) I changed the air filter, since the other was a bit dirty. no change in boost. Now I'm wondering what to check for now. Loose hoses? thanks.

Check the intercooler boots and the clamps.

definately check all your boots, and clamps. i had low boost and found a hole the size of my finger in one of the boots. do a seach on how to make a pressure tester, and pressurize the system. you should only need about 10psi to find your leak if you have one. do you have a waste gate? if you do, check to make sure it's not stuck open.
