Does anyone have the Reese Signature 5'er hitch on a 2wd 3500 yet? If so, is it a true no drill installation, and are you pleased with the hitch as whole? I'm looking at the 18k to get dual pivot action, but not sure if it will work, I see that SuperRails won't on the 2wd's.

I had a 22k Drawtite double action hitch installed on my 3500 2WD dually. You can drill holes provided they are drilled in the right areas. Both Drawtite and Reese use the same across the bed rails. Hopes this helps

I have the drawtite signature hitch on my 4x4 . . Is the 2wd different in the rear from the 4x4 ? I think the axel and springs are the same . . I am pleased with the hitch , locks well with anice audible sound , Very easy to take apart . Releases from truck bed with a couple of levers on each side . After removing hitch all that is left in bed is 4 pucks . 2 on each side that are about 3/8 of an inch high and 1-1/2 in in diameter. head has a zerk fitting built in to the top of the plate to grease internals . I use a teflon disk for the top of plate. has a flag and 2 holes have to line up to show correct locking . Holes are for the safety pin or Master lock. A couple of springs under plate keeps it tiped back when you are un hiched. . It is not a no drill installation . The brackets that Reese/Drawtite supply need bolt holes to be drilled. All in accordance with Dodge specs. . All frame work seems easy to get to with out taking off tires . .

From what I can tell there is some difference for the 3rd gen 3500 2wd, that's why I'm asking if anyone has an underbed mount on their rig. I don't mind being the first to give it a shot, but if it's already been done already, would appreciate any feedback on installation issues and suggestions... BTW, my new rig was ordered 5/9, went D1 yesterday (5/21), scheduled for KZ 6/2... guess I better hurry up and find a hitch :p

I had my old 16K Reese hitch installed in 2004. 5 ,3500 2wd. Camping world did it . The instructions from Reese have them drill holes in the sides of frame but not in top or bottom.

The guy at Camping world said they had some discussion with customers but had installed many and had no problems. . Me either after 8,000 miles. Mine was done in Ft. Myers FL.

I opted with the Huskey 16K. It was the same for the 4WD and the 2WD. It was totally bolt up. No holes to drill in the frame. Just pull out 4 pins and loosen the scissors clamps and the hitch comes out. Just 4 holes in the bed which gets 4 rubber plugs. I also got the Reese Brakeman brake controller. It works great.
