I'm new at this thing as I'm sure you all know being that this is my second post. I am the proud owner of a 99 2500. Its my first automatic and I'm not liking it to much. #ad

I know one way, but how could I have passed up a truck like this. (Not actually my picture but my truck looks exactly like that one, exactly) http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=249994&a=1857908&p=16482305&Sequence=0&res=high
How can I get more power to the wheels. I hate watching the rpm's climb but the truck not going anywhere. I heard something about reflashing the transmission. Is that what I need? If so, whats it do and how do I go about doing it?

Sorry. Guy!
The reflash from the dealer sucks.
I have a 99 2500 and recently had the most current reflash done.
It did firm up 1st and 2nd gear shifts but the 3rd gear reves high and doesn't seem to lock up all the time, and 4th (after it locks) won't downshift as soon as it should.
As for the wasted rpms welcome to the Bombing group! You will need to inhance your fluid preasure and install a Beefer Torque converter. this is the only way to get the truck to shift sooner.
Don't think that shifting sooner will get you better milage. I have added $8k worth of improvements and I have lost milage and am looking at the need for a new trans.
stock I was getting 19 and 22. 5mpg per tank.
now I am getting 14 and 20 with 275 injectors, exhaust, and a T. C. that likes to shutter the truck under load.
Think hard before adding the mods.
Trans will cost 15-2000. 00 to mod.
engine cost 650. 00 (box) 350. 00(injectors)
gauges 250. 00(A MUST)
