95 Norcold in 5th wheel trailer. The LP and electric heaters are both in good condition. Evidently lost the ammonia/water charge. Anyone know of a place in Southeast Texas where they can repair a leak and recharge? bg

I know of a RV Bone yard in Arizona. But not sure if that helps.

Id try a Search on Yahoo for RV Parts.

I have seen it said several times in the Tech Section of Trailer Life magazine that it is a waste of time and money unless the leak was actually caused by someone or something. Seems that if the leak is due to degradation of the system, if you fix one, there will be others. You might ask "Barry" what he thinks.

Thanks for the replies, I found one in Dallas which is on my trip route, I pulled the old one out today, probably go to Dallas tomorrow. bg

I seriously doubt if it's possible to just add to the system without completely emptying it and starting over, measuring all the ingredient back in. I used to work on big ammonia absorbers and I know the amounts of each component is VERY critical. Troubleshooting them is very tedious to determine if they need water, ammonia, the concoction of inhibitors or a combination. These rv fridges are even worse! They also have hydrogen in them to allow the ammonia to evaporate at high pressure(Daltons Law). The rv fridge techs I've talked to say they're junk if they leak any of the goodies. Good luck!
