Now that's a Load of Fuel!

I just received my registration renewal to the tune of $526 due 12/31/09. Lucky me that I snuck in the last day of '09. I was relieved to not see the "Emission test required" on it. I've got an odd vin# so we'll see next year what it comes too. These are about the same rates we paid under Grey Davis the prior governor. My camper never comes off,so I may get car plates this year and save $209. It'll be interesting to follow the accounts of the poor souls having to smog their trucks here beginning 2010, I believe. Sucks. Bladerunner gets to stay on another year.

When I bought my 03, 6. 0 ferd here in CA the lic. fee was $500+ in 2003.

When I bought my 06 Ram-Cummins in WI, the lic fee was $85 in June, 2006.

I'm not sure, but I think I'll just keep buying my lic. plates in WI.

P. S. Smog? Whats smog?

I guess I should quit complaining about the $75. 00 I spend every year to repair the roads here in TEXAS!. Or the $6. 00 I spend to register my Farm Use 18ft. flatbed trailer...

I hope all that California crud NEVER comes to Texas. . Thats a bad deal... Is that EVERY year? or a 2-year pass?

Yearly

Yearly. State legislature just keeps expanding and getting raises. A few other states are even higher. My $50-$75 utility bills help(just the wife and I and a small house) and the weather's unreal but... jeez. :{
